What to Expect
Lighthouse Writers’ Conference & Retreat is an opportunity for graduates of the Goddard MFAW program to come together in mutual support of the writer’s life.
THEME: Each year has a theme and this year's theme will be announced at opening of registration. The theme invites conference participants to engage in an expansion of literary and artistic ideas and of our writing practice.
For a few days in February, join us at the Lighthouse as we explore our artistic curiosity and move beyond imposed or perceived limitations. You’ll find a welcome home at this conference/retreat as we come together to discover new ways to encourage, support and inspire the writer’s life.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
• Opening panel: Sharing our joys and challenges as writers
• MFAW alumni-facilitated workshops on craft and master study
• Opportunity to read your work in salons and workshops
• Informal gatherings to renew old friendships
• MFAW faculty readings
• MFAW Guest-Writer readings and workshops
For those interested in facilitating a workshop, or to contribute ideas for the conference, contact Theresa Barker, Co-Coordinator, LWC&R.
